Paris Saint-Germain's Lyon Triumphs Over Brest, Qualifying for Europa Conference League

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) secured their place in the Europa Conference League with a convincing victory over Brest on Sunday.

The French champions, who were playing in Group C, took control of the game early and never looked back as they ran out 4-1 winners against their opponents.

PSG started brightly and created several chances, but it was Brest who found themselves behind first when Yoann Maupay headed home from a corner in the fourth minute.

However, PSG responded quickly to take the lead with a goal from Neymar in the 25th minute.

Brest fought back though and equalised through a penalty from Romain Vincelot in the 69th minute, before Neymar struck again in stoppage time to give PSG a two-goal cushion.

In the second half, PSG continued to dominate possession and create more opportunities, but Brest held their own and only had to settle for a consolation goal from Benjamin Kehou in the 87th minute.

Despite the defeat, Brest will be proud of their performance and will look forward to facing stronger opposition in the Europa Conference League next season.

For PSG, this is another important step towards securing a spot in Europe's premier club competition, and they will now turn their attention to the Europa Conference League group stage, where they face a tough challenge from the likes of Slavia Prague and Dynamo Kiev.
