Leicester City Narrow Win Over West Ham United 1-0, Jamie Vardy Scores to Secure Victory

Leicester City have secured their place in the FA Cup quarter-finals after narrowly defeating West Ham United at the King Power Stadium on Tuesday night.

The Foxes were made to work hard for their victory, but they held their nerve and secured a 1-0 win thanks to a goal from Jamie Vardy in the second half.

Vardy's strike was a deserved winner as he scored with his first touch of the game, slotting home from close range following a good move down the left wing.

It was a well-deserved victory for Leicester, who had struggled to find the back of the net against the Hammers this season.

But the win will be all the more special given that it came just hours after the club lost captain Wes Morgan to injury in training.

West Ham boss David Moyes was disappointed with his side's performance, saying: "We're disappointed because we've not been able to create chances and score goals.

"We created enough chances today, but we didn't take them."

Despite the defeat, West Ham will be hoping to bounce back in the Premier League next week when they face Manchester United at Old Trafford.

For now, though, Leicester can look forward to a trip to the semi-finals where they will hope to continue their run of success in the competition.

It was a much-needed win for the Foxes, who will be looking to build on their recent form and secure a spot in the final four.
